English Poem

                                    Sick          by Shel Silverstein

"I cannot go to school today,"
Said little Peggy Ann McKay,
"I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash, and purple bumps.
My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,
I'm going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I've counted sixteen chicken pox
And there's one more--that's seventeen,
And don't you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut, my eyes are blue--
It might be instamatic flu.
I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I'm sure that my left leg is broke--
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in,
My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,
My 'pendix pains each time it rains.
My nose is cold, my toes are numb,
I have a sliver in my thumb.
My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,
I think my hair is falling out.
My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,
There is a hole inside my ear.
I have a hangnail, and my heart is--what?
What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is---Saturday?
G'bye, I'm going out to play!"

I choose this poem because it make me remember the time when I was a little boy, and I tried my best to have free time to play. It makes me really yearning.

After I watched this TED video

This video is talking about a serious issue "Who does the law protecting? Boss? American? or African?" Although it is a serious issue, he use his humor to make everybody really enjoy his speech. It was a successful speech, and it made a record of the longest one that the audience claped their hands.

What did I do in the summer vacation?

What did I do in the summer vacation? Actually I relax at home in the first month, sometimes I went jogging with my friend, sometimes I practice guitar.....etc. I really enjoy in the first month, because I can do what I want to do without any obstruct. This is the happiest summer vacation for people who just pass the college entrance exam.

And in the second month, I joined the JAVA summer camp in the college. It was fun,  I learned a lot in this summer camp, and I also have some new friends since this month. Every day was meaningful in this month, we tried out best to write JAVA program  in this month everyday. At the end of this summer vacation, we had a competition for groups. our group's topic is virtual piano, and we got the third prize at the end. This was the best summer vacation for me.
